SUMMARY:Suffolk Bart Hose Memorial Shoot and Beach Luncheon
DESCRIPTION:SEPTEMBER 18\, 2026 (WESTHAMPTON) \nOn behalf of Police Commissioner Kevin Catalina\, all are invited to the “Bart Hose Shoot” hosted by the SUFFOLK COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT.  It will be held at our firing range in Westhampton Beach.  The date is Friday\, September 18\, 2026. The day begins with coffee\, sausage/egg/cheese sliders\, and bagels at 9:00 AM\, followed by a presentation by our guest speaker.   \nFollowing the guest speaker we will move down range for our shoot. Immediately thereafter\, we will adjourn to beautiful Rogers Beach in Westhampton Beach for our luncheon and the presentation of the 2026 Bart Hose Award. \nZeffy link for registration will be released at a later date. \n  \nThe Bart Hose Award for Excellence: \nTO QUALIFY: \nA candidate must be an FBI National Academy Graduate\, active or retired law enforcement status\, presently residing within the territorial jurisdiction of New York Office of the FBI and be an active (due current) member of the FBI National Academy Associates\, New York State/Eastern Canada Chapter. \n  \nCRITERIA FOR THE AWARD: \nThe candidate must demonstrate excellence and/or distinction in one or more of the following areas: distinguished leadership; an important contribution to law enforcement efficiency; a significant dedication to the improvement of the FBI National Academy Associates; an innovative act or suggestion which significantly furthers the ends of law enforcement\, public service\, safety or security; or an outstanding and/or heroic act in the law enforcement environment. \n  \nSend requests for nominations to Lee Wiedl via email at leewiedl@yahoo.com by August 22\, 2026.
